Office Manager - Seoul

| Position: Office Manager / Operation, Risk and Management (AOR) Full-time (probation period: 3 months, which shall apply, subject to adjustment based on performance and company regulations) |
| Qualifications: At least 10 years of relevant experience with office management and office administration skills, preferably in a law firm or professional services environment. |
| Role Purpose: Act as trusted advisor to Seoul Office Managing Partner (OMP) and Asia Pacific Regional Operating Officer (ROO) to drive implementation of Firm strategy in Seoul; provide support to ensure delivery of exceptional operational service to internal and external clients; work closely with the other Office Leads in the region on all operational matters affecting the Seoul office to be consistent with Global Firm standards, objectives and processes. |
| Responsibilities: - Partner with the OMP, ROO, partners and function leaders to implement Firm strategy, office plans and strategic priorities, ensuring alignment between office, regional and global objectives. - Coordinate and facilitate the delivery of high-quality business professional services across the office, working collaboratively with function leaders to address operational, service delivery and business issues, and escalating matters as appropriate. - Provide leadership and coordination across Office Facilities Management and Secretarial teams to ensure efficient business operations and support, while supporting the development and performance management of team members. - Lead or support strategic projects, business initiatives and change management efforts within the office and, as required, across JAO, providing project management, analytical and implementation support. - Coordinate across local business professional teams, fostering collaboration, communication and accountability. - Coordinate key office governance activities, including partner meetings, management committees, business reviews, internal communications and office-wide events. - Manage relationships with key external stakeholders, including landlords, facilities providers, suppliers and local authorities, and support initiatives that improve operational effectiveness and cost efficiency. - Promote a high-performing, collaborative and inclusive office culture consistent with Firm values, supporting employee engagement, communication and organisational effectiveness. - Represent the office internally and externally, maintaining awareness of local market developments, competitor activity and industry trends, and providing relevant insights to Firm leadership. - Undertake other responsibilities as required to support the delivery of Firm strategy and operational effectiveness within the office and across JAO |
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree is required, preferably in business administration, finance, or related field.
- Familiarity with the local regulatory landscape and legal system would be advantageous.
- Management of a cross-functional group within a global, multi-office organization and/or experience is preferred.
- Experience in effectively leading organizational change is preferred.
- Strong business acumen, operational excellence, client service and cost management are a must; Ability to engage with key external stakeholders, brokers and vendors.
- Highly disciplined approach to executing strategies and programs to achieve Firm operational objectives.
- Well-developed and sophisticated organization, communication and interpersonal skills, with demonstrated ability to collaborate and build trust with partners and business professionals at all levels.
- Strong ability to lead, motivate and mentor other professionals, inclusive of diligently addressing performance concerns.
- Organized, detail-oriented individual with strong project management skills and ability to balance competing priorities in a time-sensitive environment.
- High level of discretion, diplomacy and a commitment to maintaining the highest level of confidentiality; Strong entrepreneurial skills and business focused mind set to effectively drive operations in a diverse and multi-cultural environment.
- Proven track record of strong budgeting track record and financial skills to effective management of office operational costs.
