[Position Summary]
We are seeking a hands-on, commercially minded Finance professional to support Burberry Korea during a maternity leave period. The role focuses on retail sales planning and forecasting, performance analysis, and actionable financial reporting for the Korea market, while collaborating with APAC Finance stakeholders when required. The successful candidate will translate retail trading trends and operational KPIs into practical recommendations that support business decisions. This is an individual-contributor role with no direct people-management requirement.

[Key Responsibilities]
Retail Financial Planning & Forecasting | Approx. 50%

• Own and support Korea retail sales forecasts, annual budgets, reforecasts, and forward-looking financial plans using actual trading performance and business assumptions.
• Analyze performance across sales channels, product categories and store clusters; identify trends in revenue, gross margin, mix and other commercial drivers.
• Interpret key retail indicators, particularly comparable-store / like-for-like growth, store productivity and relevant sales drivers, to explain variances and forecast risks or opportunities.
• Partner with local business stakeholders to challenge assumptions, assess scenarios and provide commercially relevant insights.

Financial & Ad-hoc Reporting | Approx. 30%

• Prepare timely management reporting and ad-hoc analysis, explaining actual results versus Budget, Forecast and Prior Year through clear variance drivers.
• Present concise, decision-oriented insights to Korea Finance/business stakeholders and contribute to APAC Finance reporting or discussions as needed.
• Maintain reporting accuracy, consistency and appropriate reconciliation of planning and reporting data in collaboration with the relevant teams.

Finance Projects & Continuous Improvement | Approx. 20%

• Support ad-hoc finance projects, business cases and performance-improvement initiatives arising from Korea retail priorities.
• Improve models, reporting templates, data quality and working processes to ensure efficient and reliable delivery in a fast-paced retail environment.

[Qualifications]

• At least 4 years of relevant Finance / FP&A experience; candidates with 5+ years and the ability to operate independently will be particularly well suited.
• Strong preference for hands-on retail finance experience within global fashion or luxury retail, especially direct ownership of retail sales forecasts and performance analysis.
• Working knowledge of retail KPIs and trading drivers, including comparable-store growth; experience with channel, category or store-cluster analysis is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated capability in budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and converting financial data into business recommendations; accounting-only experience is not sufficient.
• Strong Excel and financial modelling skills; familiarity with large datasets and financial reporting tools. SAP / BPC exposure is an advantage, not a prerequisite.
• Working English proficiency sufficient to follow business meetings and manage day-to-day written communication with regional colleagues; native-level fluency is not required.
• Ability to work independently, prioritise competing deadlines and quickly take ownership of an existing finance workflow.
• Compensation: Negotiable, commensurate with experience and role scope.
