Tasks
- Lead the electrical engineering team and oversee electrical design activities for marine and offshore projects.
- Manage engineering schedules, resource allocation, and the quality of design deliverables.
- Oversee the preparation and review of single-line diagram, electrical load analyses, wiring diagrams, electrical equipment layouts, and navigation light arrangements.
- Perform and review electrical calculations, including load flow, short-circuit analysis, voltage drop, cable sizing, and protection coordination studies.
- Review vendor drawings and technical documentation, and resolve technical issues related to electrical equipment.
- Lead technical coordination with shipyards, classification societies, and equipment vendors, clients, and other engineering disciplines.
- Ensure electrical design comply with applicable marine regulations, international standards, and project requirements.
- Provide technical guidance to team members and support installation, testing, and commissioning activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Extensive electrical design experience in marine, shipbuilding, or offshore projects.
- Experience as an Electrical Engineering Team Leader or Lead Engineer
- Strong understanding of marine electrical power distribution and lighting systems.
- Familiarity with applicable IEC and IEEE standards, SOLAS requirements, and classification society rules.
- Ability to manage engineering priorities, guide team members, and coordination across disciplines.
- Good command of written and spoken English.
