Tasks

Position Summary
The Senior IT Manager covers the full spectrum of IT functions for the Seoul Branch, spanning infrastructure and system operations, information security, IT governance and compliance, business continuity, and regulatory reporting. The role ensures stable and secure delivery of IT services in alignment with Head Office (HO) and Regional IT standards as well as local regulatory requirements, and performs IT-related regulatory reporting and examination responses for supervisory authorities (FSS, BOK).

Key Responsibilities
1. Information Security & IT Governance

- Operate and strengthen internal security controls per the HO cybersecurity framework and local regulations; direct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing responses with timely remediation.

- Organize and lead the Information Security Committee, managing security agendas, incidents, and key initiatives.

- Establish and update IT/security policies and guidelines aligned with HO, regulatory, and industry standards; conduct regular/ad-hoc security inspections, drills, and awareness campaigns.

- Oversee access control, identity management, and data protection.

2. IT Compliance & BCM

- Prepare and submit accurate, timely IT regulatory reports and filings to supervisory authorities (FSS, BOK) and HO; plan and execute responses to regulatory examinations and inspections.

- Manage internal/external audits (HO audit, external accounting firms); drive findings to closure with corrective and preventive actions.

- Monitor Korean financial IT regulations (FSC/FSS supervisory regulations) and ensure ongoing compliance.

- Maintain the BCP/DR framework and documentation; plan and execute regular/ad-hoc BCP/DR and emergency drills.

3. IT Infrastructure & System Operations

- Ensure stable, secure operation of all branch IT systems (servers, networks, DBMS, telephony, end-user environments), covering incident/problem/change management, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis.

- Lead infrastructure lifecycle management per HO standards: server/network/DBMS migration, modernization, and security solution implementation.

- Manage outsourcing vendors and service providers, ensuring SLA fulfillment, quality, and cost efficiency.

- Control system code and data changes in accordance with compliance and security procedures.

4. Project Delivery & Business Enablement

- Lead IT projects end-to-end: requirements analysis, planning, vendor engagement, development, testing (SIT/UAT), go-live, and stabilization.

- Deliver third-party and payment interface projects, including KFTC interfaces and Firm-Banking (HO coordination, testing, implementation).

- Drive AML system enhancements and business requests: STR, RBA, WL screening logic updates.

- Develop and improve business automation programs and AI-integrated automation systems (process automation, data analysis, intelligent monitoring and alerting).

- Execute HO-driven initiatives and streamline coordination across HO, business divisions, partner institutions, and vendors.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
Minimum 8 years of IT experience (banking/financial services preferred).
Broad hands-on experience across infrastructure operations, application support, information security, and IT governance/compliance.
Practical experience with regulatory examinations, audits, and supervisory reporting (FSS, BOK, HO audit, external auditors).
