Position Title: Supplier Development Engineer

The major function of this position is to develop suppliers, support projects, monitor the quality level of suppliers and solve quality issues.

- Implement quality strategies required for the continuous improvement of the supply base.
- Perform supplier quality assessment required by company for new supplier selection.
- Lead problem solving activities to solve deficiencies identified at the suppliers
- Monitor Quality performance of suppliers to properly assess their level of capabilities
- Identify Quality improvement through “Lean 6 Sigma” activities.
- Lead APQP activities during parts PPAP.
- Support Commodity Management Strategies.
- Support technically between *** and suppliers during development

- Engineering (BS) degree or equivalent; 5~10 years of supplier quality &development working experience.
- Fluent in English 
- Working knowledge of internal engine components, manufacturing processes such as die casting, machining, heat treating, assembly and painting. 
- Good understanding of automotive quality system and APQP/PPAP process.
- Ability to respond to common inquiries from suppliers and internal customers. Ability to effectively present information to management.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
- Proficient personal computer skills including email, database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, and graphics.
- Ability to prioritize, organize, and delegate assignments
- Occasionally required to work, including meeting attendance, outside of regular hours without special compensation
- Ability to travel 30% or greater
