Summary
We are seeking a technically strong professional to lead supply chain activities for vehicle electrification through hands-on automotive supplier quality management. The role focuses on supplier qualification, quality assurance, and collaboration with supplier management to ensure BMW requirements are understood and met. Travel readiness domestically and occasionally internationally is required.

What awaits you?

1. Audit and guide suppliers to meet specifications, consult and enable them to apply BMW requirements.
2. Evaluate and confirmation quality requirements with cross-functional teams (CFT) from pre-development to nomination.
3. Support for planning and industrialization of production processes incl. FMEA and special characteristics implementation.
4. Manage quality-related issues during industrialization and during series production.
5. Lead and facilitate MLA (APQP) meetings during the industrialization phase.
6. Confirm process series readiness, initial sample inspection and concept maturity from a quality point of view.
7. Evaluate quality gates in project phases in terms of content and schedule.
8. Report supplier quality & industrialization status to stakeholders incl. key sub-components.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering.
2. At least 5 years of proven experience as a quality engineer within OEM or Tier 1 supply chains.
3. In-depth knowledge of quality management systems, including IATF 16949; VDA 6.3 knowledge is essential, with preference for VDA 6.3 auditor certification.
4. Very good English communication skills required
5. Convincing personality with the drive to bring topics forward and discuss with supplier management on eye-level.
6. Strong technical background in high voltage battery,?analytic abilities, and quality mindset.
