Role Overview
The successful candidate will independently and proactively oversee and execute end-to-end supply chain operations for the Korean market, including logistics execution, 3PL management, and regulatory compliance.
The role ensures efficient, cost-effective, and compliant operations while driving continuous improvement in service level, lead time, and inventory performance. As a key interface between local operations and the APAC regional team, this role ensures alignment with global standards and contributes to supply chain optimization initiatives.
This is an Individual Contributor role without people management responsibilities.
Roles & Responsibilities
Logistics & 3PL Management
- Oversee daily warehousing and distribution operations (receiving, storage, order fulfillment, and distribution)
- Manage 3PL partners through clear SLA governance, regular performance reviews, and structured escalation processes
- Drive continuous improvement in warehouse operations, including productivity, space utilization, and inventory accuracy
- Ensure SOPs are well established, maintained, and aligned with regional/global standards
Freight, Customs & Compliance
- Manage inbound and outbound freight flows in collaboration with freight forwarders to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery
- Oversee customs clearance activities, ensuring full compliance with Korean regulations and documentation requirements
- Anticipate and proactively manage risks related to customs, transport, or regulatory changes
Performance Management & Cost Control
- Own key supply chain KPIs including Service levels, inventory accuracy, and logistics cost vs. budget
- Monitor and control logistics spend, ensuring cost discipline and transparency
- Validate logistics invoices and ensure alignment with agreed rates and contracts
- Identify performance gaps and implement corrective actions to improve operational efficiency
Supply Chain Planning & Inventory Management
- Oversee stock levels and inventory health to support business needs across channels
- Oversee stock allocation, internal transfers, and inventory rebalancing to optimize availability
- Support demand-supply coordination with regional logistics, demand planner, commercial and merchandising teams
Cross-functional & Regional Collaboration
- Act as the key supply chain interface with local commercial, retail, finance, and operations teams
- Ensure alignment with APAC and global supply chain standards, processes, and KPIs
- Contribute to regional initiatives, best practice sharing, and continuous improvement programs
Continuous Improvement & Projects
- Identify and drive initiatives to improve service quality, reduce lead times, and optimize logistics costs
- Participate in supply chain projects, including system, process, or network optimization initiatives
- Support implementation of new processes, tools, or partners as required
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or above (Degrees in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Business Administration preferred)
- 8-10 years of professional experience in logistics or supply chain management
- Proven track record in the Retail or Luxury sectors is highly preferred. Experience working within or managing a 3PL environment is a strong plus
- Proficient in MS Office applications, particularly advanced Excel. Strong analytical capability and problem-solving skills
- Fluent in both spoken and written English (essential for regular communication with APAC regional office and global stakeholders)
- Positive, self-motivated mindset with the ability to work independently under minimal supervision
- Outstanding interpersonal skills to collaborate across levels and functions
