Business Planning Senior Specialist (1Y4M Contract)
Tasks
PURPOSE
- To review and analyze current and proposed business operations to support management’s decision making
- To monitor various business issues via investigation and gathering of technical and non-technical information
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Financial Planning & Expense Management (35%)
- Integrated Budgeting: Consolidate comprehensive sales and full-spectrum expense budgets in collaboration with Brand Managers.
- Cost Control: Monitor key expense lines to ensure alignment with financial targets and operational efficiency.
2. Strategic Partnership & Business Reviews (30%)
- New Venture Analysis: Lead the financial review process for new brand launches and store openings, evaluating viability and performance metrics.
- KPI Management: Partner with Finance and Commercial teams to align on metrics, goals, and recurring business reviews.
- Strategic Advisory: Participate in division meetings to translate business strategies into actionable financial perspectives.
3. P&L Analysis & Commercial Reporting (20%)
- Insight Generation: Provide deep-dive P&L analysis (by Brand/Store) to GMs and Brand Managers to drive target delivery.
- Reporting Suite: Generate timely commercial reports, including POS dashboards, price indices, and budget review templates.
4. Projects & System Optimization (10%)
- Financial Modeling: Drive analysis, projections, and data management for various projects, ensuring a deep understanding of financial structures.
- Process Improvement: Coordinate with stakeholders to enhance data systems and financial reporting accuracy.
5. Executive Support & Ad-hoc (5%)
- Leadership Materials: Prepare high-level presentation decks for the CFO and Commercial leaders.
- Stakeholder Relations: Maintain effective cross-functional relationships and perform ad-hoc assignments as required.
Requirements
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree or higher.
- At least 7 - 9 years of prior experience in related industry preferred.
Certification
- AICPA preferred
Knowledge
- Commercial Finance: Mastery of P&L structures, management accounting, and expense control.
- Business Operations: Strong grasp of general retail processes and financial workflows.
- Industry Expertise: Experience in Luxury or Travel Retail (preferred).
Skills
- Data Analytics: Ability to identify trends and draw actionable conclusions from complex datasets.
- Communication: Skilled at translating financial data for commercial stakeholders.
- Technical Savvy: Proficiency in financial modeling and data management systems.
