Role Summary: 

The Finance Controller for Van Cleef & Arpels in Korea plays a key role in improving Finance proximity in the organization. Reporting to the FP&A Controlling Manager, this position is responsible for providing financial analysis and insightful reporting to support decision-making. The Controller will act as a key business partner to the local management, budget owners and PO creators, and collaborate closely with Finance and other functions, ensuring financial integrity and compliance with Richemont frameworks. This role requires a proactive individual demonstrating initiative and a strong alignment with Van Cleef & Arpels' distinctive values.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Business Partnering:
   1. Serve as a trusted partner to the Van Cleef & Arpels, offering financial guidance and challenging assumptions to optimize business performance.
   2. Conduct in-depth financial analysis, including variance analysis, profitability analysis, cash flow optimization and trend analysis, providing actionable insights to management.
   3. Collaborate with commercial, marketing, and operational teams to improve Finance proximity, understand business drivers, identify opportunities, and mitigate risks.
   4. Support strategic projects and initiatives with robust financial analysis and recommendations.
2. Reporting & Performance Management:
   1. Prepare timely and accurate financial reports, including monthly performance reviews, quarterly business reviews, and ad-hoc analyses for local, regional, and global stakeholders.
   2. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide insights into performance trends, highlighting areas for improvement and success.
   3. Ensure compliance with Richemont Group financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
3. Data Management & Insights:
   1. Demonstrate a strong ability to deal with large amounts of data, transforming raw information into meaningful financial insights and strategic recommendations.
   2. Utilize various data sources and analytical tools to enhance reporting and forecasting accuracy.

Required Skills & Experience:

1. Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field; CPA, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification is a plus.
2. 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in controlling, FP&A, or a similar analytical role, preferably in a matrix environment with a multinational company in the retail industry.
3. Strong understanding of accounting principles and mechanisms (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cashflow)
4. Demonstrated expertise in financial analysis and financial statement modelling.
5. Demonstrated ability to deal with large amounts of data and strong analytical skills.
6. High learning agility for finance tech and systems (SAP FICO/ BW, Anaplan, automation tools, visualization platforms such as Looker, Tableau, SAC, automation tools, etc.) .
7. High level of integrity, attention to detail, and commitment to accuracy.
8. Exceptional sense of initiative and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing business challenges.
9. Strong business partnering capabilities, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of an organization.
10. International exposure through personal experience and previous roles, demonstrating an understanding of global business contexts.
11. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial information clearly and concisely to non-financial stakeholders.
12. Native proficiency in Korean and fluent in English (written and spoken).
