DeTect is a global technology company specializing in advanced 2D and True3D radar and remote sensing systems for aviation safety, national security, and environmental protection. Since 2003, we have delivered over 1,100 systems to airports, military installations, wind farms, and critical infrastructure sites across 60+ countries.   
  
Our MERLIN radar systems give air traffic controllers real-time visibility of bird activity in the surrounding airspace — the kind of early warning that can make the difference between a rerouted flight and a tragedy, as the 2024 Jeju Air crash at Muan Airport made clear to the world. Our HARRIER and DroneWatcher systems detect hostile drones crossing restricted airspace, addressing a growing national security priority on the Korean Peninsula. We are the recognized global leader in small, low-radar-cross-section target detection, and our proprietary signal processing algorithms are what set us apart.   
  
In 2023, DeTect opened its Korea office in Pangyo Techno Valley to serve the Asia-Pacific market directly. We are building the engineering team that will power this next phase of growth.   
   
[About the Role]  
 
We are looking for a Full Stack Engineer to build the software layer that makes our radar hardware meaningful. Our field systems generate continuous real-time data — and the interfaces you build are what allow airport safety officers, wind farm operators, and security teams to act on that data effectively. That means dashboards that render live radar feeds, control panels for remote system configuration, secure authentication systems, and the APIs that connect field hardware to cloud and enterprise infrastructure.   
  
This is a foundational engineering role for the Korea team. You will work closely with DeTect's engineering team in North America and Europe, have direct input into product and architecture decisions, and see your work deployed in systems protecting real people and real environments across the Asia-Pacific region.

[어떤 일을 하게 되나요?] 
 
레이더 하드웨어를 '의미 있는 것'으로 만드는 소프트웨어 레이어를 구축하는 역할입니다. 공항 안전 담당자, 풍력 발전소 운영자, 보안 관제 팀이 실시간 레이더 데이터를 기반으로 즉각적인 판단을 내릴 수 있도록, 그 인터페이스를 설계하고 개발합니다.  
  
단순 유지보수가 아닙니다. 신규 기능을 처음부터 설계하고, UI/UX 개선을 직접 제안하며, 제품의 방향에 실질적인 영향을 미칩니다. 국내 팀과의 협업뿐 아니라 북미 본사 엔지니어링 팀과도 긴밀하게 소통하며 일하게 됩니다. 
 
[What You Will Do] 
 
• Design and develop a web-based user interface for radar monitoring and control systems  
• Build responsive web applications that visualize real-time radar data clearly and reliably  
• Implement features enabling operators to control and configure radar systems through the browser  
• Integrate with backend and external systems via RESTful APIs  
• Design and implement secure authentication and authorization features  
• Optimize performance across browsers and devices; diagnose and resolve performance bottlenecks  
• Analyze, debug, and improve the quality of existing web applications  
• Research emerging web technologies and frameworks and introduce them thoughtfully to the codebase  
• Improve product usability and propose UI/UX enhancements based on user feedback  
• Collaborate with software engineers, UI/UX designers, product managers, and other stakeholders

[Required]  
 
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)  
• 8+ years of full-stack development experience  
• Solid hands-on experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript  
• Proficiency across multiple environments and languages, including VB6, VB.NET, C#, C/C++, PHP, ASP.NET, and Python  
• Experience with web frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js  
• Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs; comfortable with asynchronous programming patterns  
• Solid understanding of UX/UI principles and demonstrated application in real projects  
• Business proficiency in both Korean and English - you will work with Korean clients and partners locally, and communicate daily with our engineering and leadership teams in the US  
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail  
• Ability to document and explain technical decisions clearly in writing and in meetings  
• Collaborative mindset - you work effectively across functions including engineering, design, and product

Compensation is negotiable based on experience and capabilities, with a salary range around ₩100,000,000 (100M KRW) annually.
