Description AliExpress seeks an experienced compliance professional to be our Korea Compliance Officer within its global Compliance and Risk Management team. This senior role will help design and implement compliance policies tailored to Korea’s regulatory landscape, ensuring adherence to local laws while safeguarding platform integrity. The officer will act as the headquarters’ primary compliance liaison in Korea, collaborating closely with local teams to align strategies with regional requirements and mitigate risks. Key Responsibilities 

1. Information Security & Certification Management Act as the primary local contact for K-ISMS, K-ISMS-P, and ISO/IEC 27001 & 27701 certification programs.Collaborate closely with Headquarters (HQ) to: 
• Maintain existing certifications. 
• Prepare for audits and recertifications. 
• Achieve new certifications as required. 
2. Policy Development & Regulatory Compliance 
• Coordinate with the Government Affairs (GA) team and Legal team to interpret Korean regulations and formulate actionable policies and procedures. 
• Serve as the primary point of compliance contact during regulation audits, investigations, or inquiries, ensuring timely and accurate responses. 
3. Stakeholder Communication 
• Regularly brief senior leadership on material compliance risks and prepare summaries for the compliance committee.
 • Partner with cross-functional teams (Global Legal, Global Compliance etc.) to align local strategies with global standards.

Position Requirement

1.Bachelor degree in Information Security or Information Technology awarded by a Korean or foreign educational institution.
 2. Experience: 
•At least 5 years of professional experience in information security or information technology. 
• Expertise in the South Korean regulatory landscape, with particular focus on the PIPA. 
3. Language: 
• Native or near-native proficiency in Korean and English; experience drafting regulatory submissions preferred. 
4. Skills: 
• Proven track record in resolving ambiguous compliance challenges. 
• Cross-functional collaboration and strategic decision-making.
