Job overview
As the VMD Executive, you will lead the visual representation of the Tissot brand in the Korean market. You will be responsible for ensuring that all retail environments—including Department Stores, Boutiques, and Duty-Free shops—strictly adhere to Global HQ’s visual merchandising and store design standards. By effectively translating global strategies into local retail excellence, you will play a vital role in enhancing brand consistency and providing a premium customer experience that aligns with Tissot’s marketing and commercial objectives.
Responsibilities:
1. Store Planning & Design
- Coordinate new store openings and store renovations with HQ, suppliers, and retailers
- Manage counter construction and ongoing maintenance work.
- Design floor plans and furniture placement for new and renovated counters.
2. Counter Displays
- Manage graphic design work for product displays for new launches and seasons.
- Update all counter visuals and video content.
3. Exterior Displays
- Design external visuals for counters, show windows, and exterior displays (including Retail and Duty-Free channels).
4. Guidelines
- Consistently monitor counters to maintain brand quality standards.
- Implement design applications for counters according to brand guidelines.
5. Training
- Conduct Visual Merchandising (VM) training for field staff.
6. Events
- Design event furniture for brand events, pop-up stores, and roadshows (Outposts).
- Communicate with HQ regarding all event furniture, visuals, and layouts.
- Set up layouts for events on-site.
7. Promotion
- Share ideas and collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams.
- Ensure all marketing materials (POP) are clearly presented at all counters.
8. Store Supply Order
- Control stock of POSM
- Monitor and purchase store supplies
9.Material Order (HQ)
- Manage local display tool storage and order display tools (DP materials) from HQ.
10. VM Budget Revisions
- Constantly review budgets against planned expenditure to maximize effectiveness in line with marketing strategy.
- Forecast order requirements for the upcoming year.
- Manage Pre-PO and proper ER (Expense Report) processes.
11. Report
- Report activities and results to HQ, providing POS photos for reference (specifically for renovation/open projects and events/roadshows).
12. Graphic Design for local VM production
- Develop POSM for counters, sales promotions, and general branding.
13. VRM
- Manage Vendor Relationships to ensure quality and service standards.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Education: 4-year University degree (Design or related field preferred).
- Experience: 3 to 5 years of VMD and Store Design experience, preferably in Watch & Jewelry, Fashion, or Luxury Cosmetics within a department store environment.
- Technical Skills: VMD and Store design related computing skill
- Language: Proficiency in English (Both verbal and written) for HQ reporting and guideline comprehension.
- Personal Attributes: Self-motivated team player with high attention to detail and a hands-on approach.
