Export Control

• Ensure compliance with Korean export control regulations and U.S. EAR.
• Classify products under ECCN and review license requirements.
• Assess whether products are subject to control and identify & mitigate related risks.
• Monitor changes in export control regulations and update internal policies accordingly.
• Provide internal advisory and training on export control matters.

Customs Advisory

• Review HS Codes, tariffs, and regulatory requirements for customs compliance.
• Interpret Korean Customs Law and import/export regulations and provide internal advisory.
• Develop strategies for leveraging Free Trade Agreements and address origin-related issues.
• Respond to customs audits and post-clearance reviews, prepare necessary documentation, and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with forwarders and customs brokers to resolve customs-related issues.
• Conduct pre-risk assessments and drive improvements in customs procedures.

Compliance & Process Improvement

• Establish and implement internal policies related to trade regulations.
• Collaborate with global/regional teams to minimize regulatory risks and compliance issues.
• Lead Trade Compliance and process improvement projects.
• Provide regulatory review and advisory to cross-functional team.

• 5+ years of experience in Export Control, Customs Advisory, or Trade Compliance.
• In-depth knowledge of Korean Customs Law, HS Codes, FTA, and import/export procedures.
• Experience with ECCN classification and understanding of Korean export control regulations and U.S. EAR.
• Experience in customs audit responses or post-clearance reviews.
• Proficiency in business English with strong communication skills.
• Strong analytical ability to understand complex supply chains and transaction structures.
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal teams and external partners.
• Team-oriented with a proactive approach and strong ownership of responsibilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Customs Broker certification or equivalent expertise.
• Experience in the electronics or measurement equipment industries.
• Experience in international trade, logistics or customs operations
• Experience using Trade Compliance systems.
• Proven experience in regulatory risk management and process improvement projects.
