Position Description
The highly collaborative and strategic Training Manager – Rest of Asia (RoA) to drive the implementation, delivery, and localization of the Merit Asia Training System with training roadmap across key regional territories. Ensuring compliance, tracking metrics and embedding a high-performance learning culture.
The Training Manager is responsible for ensuring that all customer-facing staff and regional distributors achieve commercial excellence across our core therapeutic areas, including Vascular, Embotherapy, Biopsy, and Oncology.

Job Responsibilities
1. Curriculum Management & Execution

Directly develop, oversee and execute the multi-tiered Merit Asia Training System for RoA customer-facing staff and sales forces:

1. Onboarding: Act as the gatekeeper for onboarding new customer-facing staff, ensuring they complete and pass the online self-learning modules on basic disease state, therapy, and basic product offerings within their first 3 months.
2. Therapy & Solution Mastery: Manage annual repetition programs focused on therapy-oriented solutions, value propositions, and Business Winning Best Practice Sharing (BPS).
3. Clinician-Delivered Seminars: Partner with local Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and regional pools to plan and execute F2F small-group clinician sessions and live webinars.
4. Optimize sales team knowledge through web-based platforms and mobile app updates
5. Leveraged the LMS (Learning Management System) as part of learning tool to boost learner engagement and to expedite career development pathway including certification
6. Evaluated, structured, and implemented training initiatives in collaboration with marketing, clinical support, and regulatory teams to ensure consistent, high-impact communication.
7. Handle ad-hoc requests and special training projects as directed to ensure smooth, uninterrupted operational execution across the regions.

2. Business Winning Best Practice Sharing (BPS)

1. Drive the monthly, online BPS platform to uplift the regional learning culture and provide fresh insights into regional business development.
2. Coordinate sharing and Q&A sessions delivered by expert regional speakers.
3. Ensure content design effectively covers key commercial criteria: disease/surgery information, identifying unmet clinician needs and pain points, communicating Merit’s value/selling points, sharing promotional tactics, and discussing successful case studies.

3. Compliance, Assessment & Operations

1. Maintain and manage the localized training and scoring platforms to track individual progress.
2. Partner with the regional/local marketing team to update annual assessment question banks for required modules.
3. Generate regular data-driven tracking metrics, including Annual Completion Rates, Annual Compliance Rates, and Individual Annual Score Summaries for presentation to regional leadership.
4. Communicate program introductions and continuous updates clearly to both internal Merit staff and regional distributor networks.

Qualifications & Experience

1. Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial training, clinical application specialist roles, or sales management within the Medical Device or Healthcare industries.
2. with interventional procedures and products across interventional cardiology/radiology, vascular , dialysis, or oncology is highly desirable.
3. Demonstrated ability to operationalize blended learning structures, including online self-learning platforms, live webinars, and hands-on F2F simulator.
4. Proven track record working with matrixed regional teams across Asia (such as Korea, SEA, Taiwan, or Hong Kong).
5. Exceptional English verbal and written communication skills are mandatory, as the primary regional sharing platform is delivered in English.
6. High accountability and ability to work autonomously to establish timelines, map RACI matrices, and deliver on structured regional action plans.
7. Ability to travel (up to 30%) for training sessions and product support.

Preferred Skills

1. Experience with LMS platforms and digital training tools.
2. Knowledge of vascular, orthopedic, or surgical devices.
3. Certification in training or education (e.g., CPTD, ATD)
